Then this class is for you! We will demystify native plant jargon so you will be able to identify key information on plant labels and understand the nuances of various native plant terms. This is an introductory class to the native plants of the local shortgrass ecosystem and how to incorporate them into your landscaping. If you want to create a shortgrass prairie micro-scape in pots, a shortgrass prairie garden, trying to bring small acreage back to its native glory or simply want to learn more about the flora of Laramie County's shortgrass prairie then this class is for you! Participants will learn what flora and environmental conditions define the shortgrass prairie, basic resources for identifying plants and where to source plants and seeds. No gardening experience required.
